It may seem silly but in the case of an nuclear blast what else can you do?

During periods of the 50's and early 60's the common fear was not "if" a atomic bomb goes off but "when". They were scary times.

The main character in D&C was named Bert. Trivia question is what other civil defense program (far less well known than D&C) was this name a tie in for?
