Ini file variables

Is there a FAQ or download that I can get that explains the variables in the menu_1024_768.cfg file?

Some variables like Type, Pos, Crop, or Color are obvious while some others are not.

Variables like:
Materials=
Display=
TexFmt=
TextFlags=

Also, is the day/night variable brought out anywhere so that it can be used?

That file is a total mystery to me. Every time I screw around with it I get CTD.
