1.5 German Career Problem
 

I am running a XI boat out of Batavia. Mods are RSRD PE1a. I understand that the SZ49 mission error is inherent to 1.5. What I don't understand is why I can't seem to return to home port? OK I have not successfully completed that mission cause I sailed around til I was forced to return or become a floating hulk for lack of fuel. Any one else got this problem?

Do you mean your waiting for the 'Dock at Port' message to show up, your get that when you get very close to your port or on the top right corner an icon of a anchor should show up click that to dock. Ive never got the 'Return to Base' message while out at patrol probably why cause i always head home with one torpedo spare for that just in case Mr Rogue destroyer turns up. So couldn't tell ya if your get told to return to base once all torpedos or fuel is just about out.

I can't get the "Do you want to Dock" message I am sitting 500 yards of the dock of my home port.

I know this might seem silly but are you sure its your home port? :p Or did you maybe recieve a message mid-patrol ordering a relocation?

I'm thinking there is a bug that assigns you to patrol SZ49 BUt marks the star at a different location and since there is nothing available you can not complete this mission and so can not dock. I just wonder if anyone else has seen this?

The port where you can dock and end the mission is the one with a tilted anchor on its icon.

It is a bug in 1,5!

500 yards is not enough. You have to dock within 300ft and then the little square appears and you hit that and then you get your request selections...

The Patrol Star is 533NM from the grid SZ49! Unfortunately, while I was deciding what to do on that mission/patrol objective, my SH41.5 went CTD and then blue screen....then I had to uninstall, reinstall, etc et etc... I'll be starting a new campaign soon, so I hope this issue of SZ49 and Mission completion/Docking gets resolved soon.


However, meanwhile...I thought you could always Dock at your homeport whether or not you had completed any/all Patrol Star Mission objectives. Your renown, subsequent careeer options would be effected, of course.

I restarted from two saves back. I, again couldn't find 5000 tons to sink in SZ49 or around the star before my fuel got too low. I returned to Batavia and low and behold once I got within range of the dock I got the:"End Mission" requester followed by "Do you wwant to dock"
