Message_.cfg - Advanced Question

Inside the CFG folder, there are several files that control the speech of the officers, each one has their own cfg file.

Inside those files you'll find some commands, like this:

[Msg1]
MsgId=1
Priority=3
Timeout=20
Param0=1
MsgOgg00=Torpedo_missed_sir
;WeO_P_Torpedo_missed_sir.ogg

Questions:

1) Why just some of the commands listed? There are several other orders that have sounds for it and are not listed in the cfg files. Actually the cfg files have less then 10 commands each.

2) Can I add a new command here that already has a command in the game? What does that changes? Ex. "ChE_S_Standard_propulsion.ogg" are not listed in the cfg file, however it is a command on the game that has a proper sound for it.

3) There is some commands on the game that have no message, just one "ahoy, herr kaleun" and the command is executed, no sound and no text. Can I add a text for that command and a sound for it? Or maybe just a sound for it?

In a general context, is there ANY WAY to add sounds for existing commands that have no sound?

And is there ANYWAY to add a new unexisting command with a new sound?

Linking Message_Cfg text to speech.ogg

I have tried the same thing on Cfg folder, Message_Ra.cfg, but it doesn't trigger the sound! I added the following to the Message_Ra.cfg text with & without the Ogg file from Speech. It only shows the text in game, but no sound.
[Msg2]
MsgId=2
Priority=4
Timeout=20
Param0=1
MsgOgg00=Radio_message_sent
;RaM_K_Radio_message_sent.ogg

There's obviously a missing link somewhere, another file that needs to be triggered perhaps, I'm no expert but thought I'd post just due to the mere suggestion that you may be working on something new in the sound department. I hope you find a solution, I'm a happy user of your sound mod Phillip, I relish the idea of an update, never mind an update with extra commands. Good news indeed.

Good luck. :up:
