Great Movie on U-tube.
 

I stumbled on this gem and was breathless! But I think it is in italian? And I cannot identify the sub type. But none the less if anybody speaks Italian maybe they can clue me in on whats going on. This is Real u-boat footage in color with some great acting albeit in italian, As good as das boot!

Judging by the looks of the bow, the way diving planes extend, the specific and very high conning tower, with protruding periscope shafts, this looks to me like a US fleet boat, perhaps a Gato. Nice footage, indeed.:up:

Yes, it's a US boat, maybe a Gato class. It's stange in italian language, because scenes are surely from an american film (I don't know which).. With some U-boots and german voices that appear from SH3...

So, anything in share with Italy and italian anthem that you can listen during footage!

The name of the movie is "Below". It's an american movie, and it's a Gato, i think. The first twenty minutes of the film is good, the other part is a joke ..

A kind of "horror film". Nothing to be compared to "Das Boot".

I agree... that movie sucks - no horror though intended, and a clean tidy Gato.
