Finally got SH4 - Ubisoft Autopatch question

I finally got SH4 and it is awesome. I haven't done much yet. I'm just a bit overwhelmed with the new layout and button changes. I love the change from U-boats to fleet boats. I've had patch 1.4 downloaded sometime ago in anticipation of getting it. However, I've got a question. Everytime I start SH4, the Ubisoft Autopatch thing comes up and says this:

Trying to get update information to C:\DOCUME~1\Jeremy\LOCALS~1\Temp\ubi45.tmp.

It never updates anything.

I had the same problem... swdw told me how to fix it, now I can pass it on. Point your desktop sh4 icon at the sh4.exe file instead of the gu.exe file in the root directory... :up:

Odd thing is, I think I remember reading about that on the forum here long ago. :oops:
