About GWX 2.1?

Are we going to have the tails back on player subs? It's great not having tails on enemy ships:up: but a real problem :damn:keeping track of the orientation of your U-boat when maneouvering into position on a convoy using the nav map.

Also, I was just curious on how close we are to the release of the update.

Thanks,

There's a simple fix to put the tail back on the sub.

The downside is it also puts them on the enemy too.

data/menu/gui remove contline dds & dashline dds.

edit: Make a backup file and put them in it so you can put them back if you don't like it.

Are you talking about dashline.tga and contline.tga?

Thanks for your assistance!!

Thanks Firewall,

Just wasn't sure what dds meant. I appreciate your help.

Thanks,

As FIREWALL told you its not possible to put the tails back on subs only without putting them back on everything.

As for the release, due to real life matters within the team there have been a few holdups sadly... but... work continues and we are getting there.

Blue_Ninja63 03-01-08 03:27 PM

Thanks for the update Penelope_Grey, I really appreciate the heads up as our group members at Seedrache U-Flotillen are biting at the bit :rock:about this update as I'm sure most people are.

;)

FIREWALL 03-01-08 03:30 PM

Sorry about confusion. :)

Plans changed. The update will have a few goodies in it that didnt make it to 2.0. So the wait will be worth it. As I told Kpt. Lehmann everything happens for a reason and destiny was on our side.;)

Madox58 03-01-08 03:35 PM

(Psst! Wanna see Kpt have another Cardiopulminary?)

What about a GWX 3.0?
:rotfl:

Ok! Ok!

I got my peeler and I'm reporting to Fritz.
:nope:
Onions, I presume?

is this 2.1 update going to be a single update with the fixes or will there be parts that users can add and not add others?

The reason I ask: I understand there will be a "fix" for the deck gun, If I like the deck gun the way it is, can I install 2.1 without changes to the deckgun?

Is it going to be a JSGME enabled update or will it be an installer that overwrites the files.

Penelope_Grey 03-01-08 04:05 PM

At present the final incarnation of the 2.1 is a bit up in the air. We are hoping to get an installer though.

Save whatever changes you have made and make them JSGME ready.
That way your safe.
Anytime you make changes to any file on your system?
Money is on the simple fact that it WILL get whacked by
a mod.
Your the only one with those changes
and our psychic abilities are a bit drained.

You're absolutly right. I've learn that the hard way.

Problem is, we always forget of doing it when we do simple changes...
