The worst thing that ever happened to me with a joke like this was back a couple years ogo. I played a lot of Alternate Reality Games (ARG's, you know those games where the people running it make you feel like you stumble upon some kind of wierd conspiracy and then you end up following trails all over the internet and in real life tracking down puzzles, solving them, meeting with shady people in dark alleys to get secret documents, cracking codes, etc...)
Anyway, On our ARG forum, we get an anonymous post. A code that when me and three other people decode it after two hours, leads to this....

Now of course, most people would just find this funny. But we were ARG players and by nature, we're trained to take things apart to find clues or hidden codes and messages that take us to the next puzzle and stuff like that. So of course we watched this thing.. and watched it... and watched it... taking notes on everything... downloaded the file... hunted through the file for hidden codes... advanced the thing frame by frame to see if there were any hidden frames in there, re-watched it over and over and over to the point where none of us could get the stuped song out of our heads...
Then we come to find out that one of our friends had found the video, thought it was cute and thought to make up a little game so we could find it. He had NO idea that we would dissect the thing and watch it over and over again for DAYS !!

We must have watched that freakin video 10000000 times. I can still remember every word to that damn song !!! :damn: It was on endless loop in our heads for WEEKS !!!! |
