I just got mine 2 days ago, noticed that the gauges are missing on the IXD2.

Try a fresh install of stock SH4, then add the addon.

Ok, I'll try later, getting hungry.... No need to patch the stock SH4 to 1.4.

EDIT: From the "read me"
"This add-on can be applied on Silent Hunter 4 Original Version, on Patch 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 or 1.4
This add-on will upgrade your version of Silent Hunter 4 to Silent Hunter 4 Add-on (v 1.5)."

So yes, it can be added to vanilla (1.0) sh4.
