Depth Gauge

Hey there, mates!

I was trying to configure the depth gauge (tiefenmesser), dont remember quite sure which file had the dials configurations, but anyway, I've tryed to set the dial to go past 140 degrees on the right side, to trully simulate the depth gauge going past 260 meters, I've set to go to 180 degrees (straight down) and 300 meters (thats almost about right), but in the game, nothing changes. What am I doing wrong?

Maybe 180° is too much, because of the lack of mouse precision you will find yourself clicking on the left side of the dial, thus setting 0 depth instead of 300.
Also in dials.cfg you may have 2 deep depth dials items, be sure you make changes for both. try to keep the stock angle value (here it's 145° left-right) and change the max value to 300.

Its not to be clicable, I'm not trying to kill my crew. Thats just for those "das boot" moments, when the boat goes below what you want. And the angle controls the dial needle, so it have to be changed. I wonder what is the maximum angle (if there is any). I'll try again...

Yes, but no  You can keep the same angle and change the max value from 260 to 300 and it will work. But then you need to redraw the marks on the gauge. You sure can raise the max angle of the needles but if it doesn't work you should try to change the depth value first and then see the angle

If I change the maximum depth and dont change the needle maximum angle, it will indicate 300 meters and show 260 on the gauge. If I redraw the gauge, theres no historical accuracy, coz what really happens is that the needle could go past 260 meters, without any indication past that. And if you use shift+f2 and get close enough, youll see that 260 meters are actually 258 meters on the gauge, that is something that should be fixed too.

If I manage to pull this off, I'll release a mod.

ok, the news are:

Ive fixed the dial on the display layout, but the big dial on the command room didn't change. Thats becouse its on another file, perhaps a .cfg file inside the uboat.dat file. Anyone have something to say on that?
