Sun halo in GWX2
How can i increase sun halo in GWX2?
Some time ago i red something about it, but i don't found nothing now. Thanks |
Nvidea card? [Shift] + [Page Up] = increased sun halo.
|
Thaks, but I don't have Nvidia card.

Then, my friend, like all of us ATI users, you can't get a decent sun halo.:damn: It's an ATI issue. However, apparently, the latest high end ATI cards do display it correctly.
However, I can usually get decent halo effects when in any view other than the Periscope/OBS/UZO. It's just not as good as it could be. |
"sunhalo.tga"
I want to try to increase sun halo how in SH3 stock.
I need the file "sunhalo.tga" in a subfolder of "data" folder (i don't rememeber the exactly path, but you can find it with search functions of win) in SH3 stock, without GWX. I haven't enought space for install SH3 in another folder, and i don't want to spend time to uninstal GWX2.1. If you can send me the file, this is my mail: ogrando@hotmail.it Thanks |
[Shift] + [Page Up] = increased sun halo on ANY card.
Sh3 has NO issues with the sun halo and ati cards, thats an sh4 bug! |

Shift+PgUp/Dn increases SH3's internally generated bloom effect and at the same time removes all forced AA. ATI's do have problems with the Sun Halo, unlike nVidia, ATI display the Sun as a distinct 'disc' in the sky rather than a hazy ball of fire.;) |
Not on my ati card. But i`ll take your word for it as you seem so darn sure.
|
My (old X800) ATI card also has no problem displaying the SH3 sun halo, but it does vary a lot depending on my AA and adaptive AA settings. :hmm:

AF seems to have no effect for me, but someone else said it did have an effect for them. Different drivers have affected the sun halo for me as well (currently I'm using clean Catalyst 8.3 drivers). |
