synchronized??

Hi to all,
i know the option "synchronize" in SH3 video setting, that synchronizes the fps to monitor refresh...

So, is game better with or without synchronization? may video card get overloaded with option turned off?
Could someone clarify its funtionality?

thanks,
S.75

I do not notice any difference on my machine.

If you have a good card and you notice tears in the screen while you move fast, then this option will get rid of them!

:hmm:

Like rips in the image, as if it's been torn (I think usually vertically) in places, then stuck back together but not matching up right.

Vertical sync helps to see the game smooth, i mean, if you notice that in external camera de sub do little 'jumps' sincronized fix that, but, can be done too by increasing the refresh of the monitor to a high value.

well, when i had it unselected, there was either a spike or lag in FPS (thank heavens for the Ctrl+F8 thing) but its been so long now i cant remember, i should be getting a better machine soon anyways

You might want to try adjusting your refresh settings on the monitor, depending on what your vidcard allows. Have a look at your free RAM also, do you have a decent amount, or want to shut down some processes/services, in which case I've found FSautostart works real well.
