hi, im new here, i was wondering what mods would you recommend? im looking for something realistic, and maybe something with new graphics, like better sea and stuff :)

but realism is my favorite:)

GWX. It provides realistic warfare and great graphics, all in one stop.

SH3 Commander. It does everything to make your career experience real except spray salt water in your face...and I understand the next version will do that!

And if you want hyper-realistic do-it-yourself targetting, OLC-GUI.

Welcome aboard. These guys are right Mediteran. GWX 2.0 is the ideal starter complete mod pack. Easy to install and play. Later when your more familiar you might want to tackle many more seperate mods. Subsim offers the best modding community goods. So much candy to choose from, but thats for later. Enjoy GWX and don't be surprised if you lost your jaw on first impressions.:smug:

thanx for the quick replies :) im gonna try gwx first as you recommended, so im downloading from the torrent, what patches do i need exactly? Armed Trawler CTD fix and SH3 Commander Configuration files or?

Visit the homepage and view the FAQ and read the manual.

Also, if you are going to use SH3 Cmdr, read it's readme too. It will save heartache later.

k, im downloading the manual now :) what exactly do the sh3 comander configuration files do?

SH3 Commander is an external tool that helps control different aspects of the game and adds greatly to the career experience. You only need those files if you're using Commander and GWX together.

ok i downloaded the mod, do i need to download anything else? the armed trawler patch?

Get any fixes you can till the upgrade comes out.
