Lifeboat quality control?

I'm running patch 1.4 with the latest version of TM and RSRD. Last night I nailed a tanker, which split in half and went down slowly.

I cruised around the remains and spotted 2 loaded life rafts and 2 loaded lifeboats. As the tanker sank I noticed that both lifeboats (but not the rafts) were slowly filling water, even as the crews rowed frantically away from the burning oil. By the time the tanker went down the lifeboat crews were neck-deep and were rowing almost completely submerged! In several more minutes they were gone completely.

Moral: If you're a Japanese sailor, use the rafts rather than the boats.

I'd like to see that bug get fixed. Usually, rough seas will sink the life boats.
