Medals and Renown ?
 

I was wondering if anyone had any info on the effect awarding medals has on a crew member, also renown.

I remember some info being here

but it seems to have closed down.

Also i would like to add the medals as historically correct as possible through SH3 Commander, so does any one have info or links as to what medals were awarded when.

When you award medals and/or promotions to your crew you increase their experience and performance. This can be seen at the green bar over each boat compartment. With respect to SH3Cmdr you can always use the "Auto Fix" option and give each member of your crew only medals that are historically accurate.

Your crew does not earn renoun...only you do. Some crew members will show up with renoun but that is generally only if you 'bought them'.

Awarding medals gives experience as M said...and once you give someone the Knight's Cross, they do not get tired any more.

Awarding the crew medals does nothing that I know of for your own experience or renoun.

The renown gives you the credit to purchase the medals, which in turn raise the recipients stamina and performance http://www.psionguild.org/forums/ima...ies/pirate.gif

Hi Anynone know that how to correct the award criteria? I mean I am currently play the career mode in GWX2.0 in 1941 I have sunk 60,000GRT after 4 partol but still can not get the Ritterkreutz. I think I should already receive it in history. It would be appreiciated that someone has idea on fixing it.:rock:

SH3Cmdr provides suggestions that are based on the RL award availability and criteria. All you need do is check out the suggestions (on the Crew Manager screen) and make your own mind up as to whether you want to follow them.

Alternatively, as melnibonian states, pressing the "Auto-fix" button on the Crew Manager screen will automatically apply the suggestions to each crewman.

JS, Does it effect not only the crewman but also the capitian-the player?

Just the crewmen. For various reasons I chose not to tinker with the Captain's awards.
