Seeking Opinions, in GWX…Canary Islands or the Canadian Coast?

It’s July 1940 (GWX 2.0), and I am on my maiden voyage in U-122, a new IXB boat. In U-49, my VIIB, I spent almost all of my time around Great Britain and Norway, but now I am looking to take a trip further out and find some new fishing holes.

On the stock SHIII map, three merchant routes converge at the Canary Islands. Does anyone have any experience to share about this area? Based on the map, fishing should be good, but I have found that the actual routes on the map are often off a bit.

The other area that looks interesting is the coast of Canada, maybe not far off of Halifax. I figured I could slip down and see New York while I am there, before the US gets into the war. (I can surface outside lower Manhattan and not get killed…you know, maybe cast a line and take the men down to West 42nd Street for some R&R – Then come back in a year or so for Operation Drumbeat!). However, if the fishing off the Canadian coast isn’t good, there is no point in making the two-week long trek. Any recommendations regarding the Canadian coast?

Thanks in advance!

Look for Halifax Harbor in Nova Scotia, but watch out for Reallydedpoet, he's prowling off Prince Edward Island with a really big stick :shifty:

Stay away from Halifax/NFLD :yep: If not I will be waiting for you :arrgh!:
Look for the bright yellow Kayak. I have attached my pellet gun ( normally used on squirrels ) to the bow :o

attacking an unsuspecting merchant ship and blowing it to pieces... i can understand.
shooting with the 2cm and 3.7cm at the cockpit of an airplane to kill the pilot... i can understand.
shooting at an unsuspecting tanker and seting it ablaze along with its crew... i can deal with.

but shooting squirrels with a pellet gun? that's just mean. :nope:

edit: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH i became a medic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11 *I pour gasoline on me and set myself ablaze, then i run and jump out the window*
