Pfft! Who needs crew for a deck gun?!
 

CERTAINLY NOT THE U.S.S. Plecostamus!

I noticed that my deck gun in crew management has no slots for crew. so the only time it EVER fires is if I am on it. I'm the captain, dadgummit, I have coffee to drink for pete's sake!

Why no slots for my gunses, preciousss??

As far as I remember, this is a bug which comes from changing the location of the deck gun when you upgrade. When you outfit the sub when you start a new career, only then can you decide fore or aft on the deck gun, if you change the location later, this bug happens. As far as fixes, I am sorry, but I must refer that to the modders.
