The Official Subsim 2008 Election Thread
 

-Please bear in mind this is a WIP thread, so this first post will be edited over time-

Okay, I got a few good responses from my previous thread about doing this game, so I'm going to see if I can make it happen.

The Rules -

• Keep it civil - no-one wants to play with someone who makes everything personal and degrades things into personal attacks. "I disagree with.." :up: "<Name> is a moron":down:
• We will be acting as if Subsim is its own country, it has no ties to the EU, or UN, its your job to talk people into voting for these things
• As such, policies in action in your country (aside from the obvious) are not yet in action here.
• Keep it respectful - If you admonish something, justify it, and avoid the pitfall of becoming too emotional.
• No dictators - sorry elite_hunter ;)

The Game

• Those who wish to play can post here, and will be included, along with their party names in a list on this post.
• One person can only participate in one party
• People can team up to form parties, but like real elections, you'll eventually have to run against them. You will also have to declare it here
• You will occassionally have the opportunity to answer questions from the Subsim members about your policies. Do this in threads that have the appropriate "SSE 08" titles.
• If you wish to post a topic pertaining to your views on a particular subject, mark it with "SSE 08 - <Your Name> <Subject>" but keep them reasonable in terms of regularity and quantity
• Every now and then, I'll post a poll asking for member's votes. This will happen each time a key issue is discussed. I ask all non-playing members who vote once, to keep voting, to keep things realistic
• Candidates cannot vote for themselves Dowly. :stare::rotfl:

Uhh, thats all I can think of for now, please let me know if you have suggestions, or would like to help me organise and run this. Then we can get underway. I'll let you all know when the games begin! :D

Oh yeah, the winner gets Kate Beckinsale and a cookie. Or something. Ask Neal, I dunno :P

I would vote for wastegate, but I think his party has been busted :lol:

No way Jose' ... He did more things wrong in one day than I've done in six years on here.
