[REL]Yet another green atlantic above & below - Murky!
Hi, well thanks to Yamato9 for pointing me to the Color Inspector application I did a bit of tinkering and came up with the following version of the atlantic with slight Green on top with blue tinge in sunlight reflections and a murky green below:

Damn Reece, that looks bloody awesome :o
|
Great Reece!
The sea looks really good... I've a question tho... I use another of your mods, the New sh4 scene 8k 2.3, the one that improve the reflections... this new one have already the improved reflections or I'll have to choose between one or another? |
The pictues above are with my SH4 Scene mod and should go ok with all versions of SH3, what I suggest is thet you disable the SH4 Scene mod then replace the old EnvColors_Atl.dat file in the mod above with the new one then re-enable the mod.:yep:
I will do a new version of the SH4 Scene.dat & upload it later.:D Edit: My mistake, that release of SH4 Scene for SH3 does not include Env files so just enable both mods, I will still do a new version though! |
Thanks Reece, youre the man!
For me, eye candy is as important as realism! (or even more) |
Only too happy to help!:yep:
IMPORTANT NOTE: I just found that in a storm (no rain) overcast with lightning the surface cloud reflections have a purple tinge, so I am working on clearing this up, if anyone else is trying this please let me know of other problems. Thanks. |
Reece, great work
Before I start using it, are there any problems with this scene.dat file? does it change any fog values? Also, any compatibility issues with gwx 2.0 (2.1)? Thanks. |
Very nice, Reece! I realy like the Atlantic with that green touch!
Thank you CapZap |
Hi, sorry about the first version problem, it's now sorted out and the first post has been updated, overcast now::D

Hi,
I like Your atlantic, Thanks! Paco |
Excellent work Reece!
I realy like your green top and murky below color, DL now. |
It funny how some of the more simpler mods can become my favourite [like this one]. Thanks Reece for the update [PM]. Have downloaded it and is cambered as one of my must have mods
|
Looks gorgeous Reece, should try it tonight :|\\ :|\\
I was wondering, one other thing: I used SH4 scene.dat with various tweakings, but very often, at rough windy conditions, there are "dark" sub reflections on both sides of vessel... Normally, from players point of view, they should appear on closer side, not over the deck on the far side, doesnt look natural... Do you have any experience how to get rid of it ? Is it related to reflection deformation value in scene.dat ? |
Not knowing what you did I could not suggest anything, and certainly nothing rings a bell, however I do recall a SH4 mod for getting rid of the waterline around the boat, this may be worth pursuing, sorry I cant be of any more help, another option is to go back to a previous version then re-tweak that.:yep:
|
Reece,
it has nothing to do with my tweaks, it seems to be general issue with SH4>SH3... This is your screen from the top of thread,... if You follow yellow arrows, it should ring a bell: http://img134.imageshack.us/img134/4...olors5arp2.jpg Reflections "under" boat look great  but those "pointed" at far side should not be there,... or at least should be 1/3 of present intensity level. Resolving a direction of reflections with SH4 scene.dat would be a real step forward... Anybody...?? |
