"Obsolete" ?

Since I am having compatability issues between GWX 2.0 and uberboot, does ANYbody know where I can find a link to download GWX 1.04. Everybody has gone to 2.0 links it seems . I have been looking for 1.04 for about an hour & cant find one... :damn: I would like to use the uber which does not seem to work with GWX 2.0 at present. As a side thought is there or can there be a sticky or dedicated thread for "older" & "obsolete" mods & programs for "old", "obsolete", "nitwits" like me ?? :rotfl:

Its because 1.04 = 2.0

Philipp_Thomsen 02-06-08 08:54 PM

the last one was 1.03, the 1.04 was about new planes and I think was never released, instead the 2.0 came out, a masterpiece... However the uboat shakes like a rubberduck in a sink with you blowing in the water... I dunno if this is realistic as I was never in a real uboat in a real ocean, but I do know that it shakes much more then in 1.03. I think the waves heights were increased, so if you're trying to use uberboot so use your deckgun, you'll have a hell of a hard time doing that without stabilized view.

Anyway, the uberboot and gwx 2.0 are working fine for me... and if you prefer the 1.03, you can find it pretty easily on filefront...

[Edit:] Nevermind. Nothing to see here.

Sorry for the miss quote I meant gwx 1.3. Alas if it be so easy to find on filefront do you mind pointing me to a link, please. Dont know how you got your gwx2.0 with uberboot up & running MM told me "Sorry dud". HELP.!.!

P.S. does anybody know how/where to D/L Timetravellers mods (mini tweaker, et al) without going thru "delraydepot.com" as the only thing I can find there is real estate for sale or rent ?? Or someone trying to sell me a domain name. :damn:

@ lehmann

What did u say up there Kpt??? Now im curious!!! :rotfl: :damn:

By the way kpt, when you get a some free time (i know its hard) i would like to discuss something im planning with tomi and someother guys, but via PM, of course... maybe you're interested or can help in some sort of way! =)

Philipp_Thomsen 02-06-08 11:48 PM

I have both minitweaker and gwx 1.03 in dvd... but my internet conection is far from good enough to upload this... I think probably the gwx dev team have all this already uploaded somewhere, try asking them via PM! Or open a new thread, yo'll get a fast answer...

If you cant find anywhere by tomorrow, PM me and i'll see what i can do to upload this... but its going to take a loooooooong time... my upload stream is 30kb/s

He said SD should maybe do a reinstall and expressed some concern
over the mods he was putting over top of GWX being the problem.

IMO on the first point at least the Kpt. was right, the shake isnt
normal and I would reinstall at that point. On the second point the
kpt and I differ. A survey of other players shows that since uber1.4
was a stand alone mod it still works over 2.0, so although something
is wrong with your install it doesnt actually seem likely that using uberboot
is the cause, it may be a sequencing thing, are you using
the latest JSGME or an older one. the latest on prevents deactivation
of mods in the wrong order, one of the possible causes of this symptom.

MM

The problem is very annoying and doesnt matter if the weather is rough of dead calm, the boat goes up and down like its made of paper. But sure I'll not uninstall everything all over again, I've finally made everything work together after a hell of a hard work, maybe there's a easier way... which file controls the uboat floating parameters? I'll try to edit and find the best value... anyone knows? uboat.sim?

Mush Martin 02-07-08 10:28 AM

When I was working it I always just tweaked the mass
but im sure theres more ways and peeps with more
experience than I.

Use skwasjers S3d editor, for IXB open Nss_uboat9b sim file.
you can tweak centre of gravity, up down drag etc.:up:
