On surface/deck awash/electric engines

First for VIIC.
NSS_Uboat7c.cfg file.

[Properties]
PeriscopeDepth=8.5;meters ; Electric engines, crew on deck :D
SnorkelDepth=7.4;meters ; Diesel engines /Normal decks awash. :know:
CrashDepth=70;meters
MaxDepth=300;meters
SurfaceDepth=9;meters ; Crew off deck.:smug:
TorpLaunchMaxDepth=20;meters
StormConditions=7,0.1;max wind speed [m/s], max rain

This was tested in 5 meter wind.
VIIC is on SURFACE, low speed, and you press ";" Snorkel-key,
You have , decks awash/diesel engines/crew on deck .
Press "p" Periscope key and VIIC will go wery low on water, electric engines,
crew on deck.

VIIC is in PeriscopeDepth= 12m, low speed=3knots, silent running =on.
You want to go /on surface/electric engines/Crew on deck.
First reduce engineroom crew to minimum = if you take off one more crew member,engines will stop. Also make sure that there is no crew in dieselroom.
You do NOT want to start diesels/make noise.
Press "p" Periscope key and VIIC will go up, wery low on water, electric engines,
BUT NO CREW ON DECK:rotfl: What to do :hmm:
Make more speed = 4 knots.
Press ";" Snorkel-key, and as soon as crew will go on deck, press Periscope key.
NOT all electric engineroom crew will go to dieselroom, and there should
be a message "Not enough crew in diesel".
Put "WO" on deck, reduce speed to 3 knots, put engineroom crew back to
electric engines, and wait.
If there is enough speed U-boat should glide down to "p" = 8.5m depth,
and electric engines should start.

Next IXB :

[Properties]
PeriscopeDepth=8.9;meters:D
SnorkelDepth=7.6;meters:D
CrashDepth=70;meters
MaxDepth=300;meters
SurfaceDepth=9.5;meters:D
TorpLaunchMaxDepth=20;meters

Same as VIIC but no need to go for 4knots as IXB has more mass and glides better.
No electric engines on surface ?? :rotfl: :rotfl:
Use as you like. No mod to download as you can edit files easily by hand.:D

I will try now!!thanks:lol: :lol:

Hello
I did some testing for GWX2.0 and found out that you need 4knots for IXB
to go from 12m deep to 8.9m(on surface/electric engines/crew on deck)
via 7.6 (decks awash) to get crew on deck,and not use diesels. and that it did not work for VIIC. But i am happy that IXB is ok with GWX2.0. Maybe GWX devs can do something for VIIC.:lol:Also i found out that if you force IXB over subnet it takes less damage than VIIC.
So at this point i recommend IXB for GWX2. :up::up:
