Question about 3D view

Hi,

I'm playing in fll 3D,with the mouse only. Just the use of some keys but a limited one. SH3/1.4/GWX2/Integrated orders/16K/enhanced damage effects and 1024x800 resolution.

I'm not satisfied with the command room 3D view under GWX2 in VII types because of the enormous observation scope which hides me part of the Chief Engineer and the big tubes between fore and aft command room (I'msure they are historical but I like a full view of my command roomfor better immersion). Not a big deal but I really don't like it.

There is my questions :

1/ I tried to use OpenHatch mode (typeII, typeVII ans typeIX) but the mouse clic doesn't works between command room and radio room. It's the only one though. It's a big problem with my mouse only game. So does it exist any solution or fix for that bug ?

2/ If there is no fix, is there any way to use the stock SH3 3D views with the GWX2 mod ? If yes, where can I download them and how to install them ?

3/ Is it possible to use the HiRes version of OpenHatch withclear dials in GWX2 or in stock SH2 3D views without sideway problems ?

Thanx 4 the replies.

Moin,
    • use F9 to go to the radio room
    • F2 to go to command room
    • in freecam mode no clicking is possible
  1. no
  2. if you use OHV1.01, youŽll loose the new periscope well and the new obs scope. canŽt say for sure whether it will cause any CTD or not.

Hi there, I may be on the wrong track here but like you I'm not particularly happy with the command room view, but all I do is CTRL & F2 and roam around for a suitable spot.
Saves any more mods, but then again it does require the use of keys.
Good luck,

Herr Trigger.

I think you mean SHIFT+F2

Hi!
no, i mean adjust the Chieff Engineer position just a bit on your right (from your normal point of view, without pressing Shift+f2).
So he will be a bit near depth gauges and so i can see he.

sorry, what I meant was

@ herr trigger = do you mean SHIFT+F2 right?

And about the chief engeneer, yes, it can be done...

Sag75 02-08-08 07:47 PM

no, i'm sorry for my poor english,

i mean look inside a (i don't know) xxx file that controll the CE position in the command room. And change some location parameters in this, in the way to get the default Chieff Engineer position a bit more near depth gauges.
So i would able to see he fully, without press any keys..
