Modifications To Career In Silent Hunter 4

I just purchased Silent Hunter and love the game - what I've noticed is that the radio messages will report huge naval engagements such as Midway or Guadacanal and no actions occur. I'll arrive to the area and theres' no action. Is there a way in career mode to have modifications added to automatically witness naval battles going on and get involved? I'd love to take out some carriers in these engagements but let me know what I can download if there's anything yet created.

If you download the Run Silent, Run Deep ver 3 (RSRD III) mod, Lurker has added most of those naval engagements.
