How to take JSMG Screeshot??
Hi all.
Can anyone tell me how to take screenshot of my installed JSMG folder so I can post it on here to get feedback on my installation order! Noob question I know (been gaming for over 15 years), but necessary never-the-less. Thanks guys. |
Hoversnap (scroll down about half the page to get to it) is a handy little tool for taking screenshots. It will take shots of the entire screen, the active window or a custom defined area and can be mapped to any key you want to use. It will let you specify where your shots go and what name they have and can save in .jpg format to save space (and upload time).
Edit : I forgot the best part, it's free. |
Thanks mate.
Is it straightforward to post an image within a post?? |
I have taken a screenshot but have tries to insert the image into a new post.
I am being asked for the URL?? Anybody explain the next step I have to take please?? |
Have you tried Photobucket?
www.photobucket.com
It's free to register and use, and you can upload your pics to there then simply select the uploaded photo once it's in photobucket, copy, open a 'new post' in subsim, click on the little yellow mountain icon (insert image icon) above your post editing window and paste the link in there, click OK, finish typing your post and erm post it! Boom, you're done. You're post will now contain your image. |
Thanks a bunch guys!!
Doin' it now!  |
On the one night I want to go on photobucket, it is having maintenance done!!!
Cant get on!!! STORY OF MY LIFE!!!!:rotfl: |
Tip 1:
YOU DON"T NEED TO TAKE A SCREENSHOT! :o 1. Open JSGME 2. click on "Tasks" in the center bar 3. Select "Export Activated mods list" JSGME will create a text file in the mods folder and open the list in notepad. You can just copy and paste that right into the topic. Some people have actually read the help file that comes with the program - go figure Give it a try- you might find some really cool features in JSGME that way.;) |
Imageshack is pretty good, too, if photobucket has kicked the, ah, well, bucket:yep:

Print-screen, then paste into paint or another like program, save as a jpeg and you are good to go. Lots of good suggestions here :yep:

swdw - I would deserve a rollocking mate! I did read the read-me but like Digi-Trucker says "I like pretty pictures"
I just reckon that people would be more responsive to an image rather than a seemingly endless amount of txt!! Will give imageshack a go (as long as its free)!! |
