Question about the Realweather Fix mod
Should I wait until I am docked and safely in port to put this mod in or can I put the mod in while I'm still at sea with no issue ?
|
Hi, Blacklight!
You should be able to install mid-patrol but I am unsure if you will get any changes until you get back in port. It depends on how scene.dat is read by your save game file. Stiebler should be better able to answer that question, but you won't hose your game by loading mid-patrol. Good hunting! |
I just loaded it. We'll see how it goes.
After that last patrol I had, I could really use a change of pace with the weather.:rotfl: This last patrol was like this: All nice and sunny... pop underwater for a quick listen... Hear a ship.. pop back up and 15 knot wind, sideways rain, waves as tall as skyscrapers, heavy fog, visibility so bad that I can't see a damn thing until I'm about to crash into it... Then.. miraculously, when the ships went away, the weather switched back to perfect calm like sailing on a nice gentle lake. This process repeated itself for EVERY ship encounter I had without exception !:damn: I left Wilhelmshaven with like 20 somthing torpedoes... came back with no torpedoes and only 6 ships sunk and that was just sheer luck.:damn: I was not able to even THINK about using my deck gun through the whole mission.:nope: |
lol
in the original uncut version of "Das Boot" U-96 experiences over 3 weeks of storm! |

Or maybe the Director of Das Boot consulted Ubi before filming.....now there's a thought. :hmm:

*Director of Das Boot plays SHIII for several days*
Hmm... I didn't realise that the Atlantic was so stormy ! Especially those two month long hurricanes ! I'd better make my movie as realistic as possible !! |
I inserted this mod midpatrol and since I ran a new one, the weather seems to change a lot more :hmm:
As for the UBI guys, you can see them working on the weather from 06: 00 on ;) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6oNNJ...eature=related |
