How many days U-boots spend on the patrol.
Hi.
Anybody know how long take a real partol? Not in the game, in reality. For example I was read in the book, there was two type of food rations: 1 - normal for 6 weeks 2 - increased for 8 weeks |
if you look on U-boat.net you will notice the patrol lengths are listed... I have seen early war type VII patrols last as little as 3 weeks, and later type IXC patrols last hundreds of days.
It just depends on the mission, the war years etc. If you are using a type VII out of any of the french bases i would think that 4-6 weeks would be about tops. |
In reality VII boats used to patrol for 3-6 weeks due to confined space, lack of torpedoes and proximity to England that made refuelling difficult. Type IX boats were patroling for anything between 2 and 6 months as it was easier to refuel in the vast oceans away from allied bases and task forces.

On the other hand, real kaleuns were expected to stay in their patrol grids until further orders, even if they never saw any ships there. |
124 for U-420:lol:
