I dont think it was the ships fault it sank, just a naff Captain and crew :-? ;)

Naw with too few lifeboats for the amount of passengers, weak rivets and waterproof bulkheads that didn't actually reach all the way to the top of the compartment, there was plenty of blame to go around i think.

As for Firewalls original post, I can't find any mention of the story. Could you post a link or tell us where you heard it?

I read the House Bill 282. Even the author believes it won't pass. As he has said in multiple interviews...it's his way to bring attention to a growing problem.

In 2003, the State of Mississippi attempted to have insurance companies cover procedures for obesity, but it died in the Insurance Committee...go figure.

Is this the kind of thing we can expect if we allow socialized medicine in this country?

Sorry All I was playing Silent Steel and for got to log out.

I was on SS reading posts sitting in front of the tv when the news came on AND HAD THIS JEWEL.

At first I laughed then I got to thinking where does it end and how did these idiots get into office.

If and it's a big if this passed into law and other states saw the cash cow this can be and followed suit, then expanded it to other bussines.

This is Big Brother getting waaaay out of control.

I also apologize for the "fatso" remark to all it offended. :yep:

Smokers are already on the list. Here in Columbia, MO the city passed an ordance banning smoking inside bars. Multiple classic bars or "inns" have closed due to the lowered business when smokers refuse to eat outside during the cold winters.

I remember in Quincy the hospital banned all smoking on their property. If you were an employee caught smoking in your vehicle while parked in the parking lot, you were fired.

You smoke, they punish you. You quit smoking and get fat, they punish you.

And here I was, thinking this would be a thread about some fat dude called Bill :)
