Lenovo is 'NOT' the IBM company it used to be

I ordered 4 laptops back in December from them, and i have still yet to receive them. This is getting ridiculous. :nope: How long does it take to put a normal laptop in a box and ship it? IBM's I have ordered in the past came nearly immediately. If something went wrong with an IBM, they practically would have a new laptop for you overnight!

What kind of service has the once good IBM become? Terrible.

Took me three weeks to get my HP laptop in November 06. Longest wait ever :)

Have they any sort of package tracking, or has it not even got to that stage yet?

Not even to that stage yet. Looking at middle of the month before they even ship. :shifty:

I was a business machines manager at Staples and we started getting Lenovo laptops in and I can seriously say that they were godaweful in terms of reliability. So many of them came back to us. They are "Budget" computers and you get what you pay for with them.:nope:

You are not inspiring confidence in me!! :D Hopefully I don't have any problems with them. I have little time to fix them if something happens as it is.

Wow...I went to their website and found some interesting stuff regarding their company in China. Doesn't look like they are holding their end of their very own values in customer service.

Our values

One has to wonder what happened in this day and age to the adage "the customer is king".

I buy form companies like that all the time. I recently bought an RC airplane to give as a gift from etoys.com, and it came slightly damaged. Without question, they got another one shipped out next day, and on top of it, said I could keep the damaged one too! I had spare parts for free!!!! They treated me great. I'll buy from them again in the future 100x over!

Oh - i forgot to mention - they refunded my shipping too!

I've had a very good experience with ordering a CD from Sub Pop reccords. I accidentally clicked that I wanted two CD's when I only wanted one. They refunded me the money, sent me two copies telling me that I could keep both or give one to a friend.. and on top of it, they sent me another CD free of charge.

Matrix Games seems to have some pretty top notch customer service as well. If I have any question about any of their games, I usually get an answer in a couple hours on their boards from staff members.

I'll tell you something, when I started buying on the internet almost a decade ago mostly on amazon and then on play.com I was amazed at the courtesy those shops had versus the customer.
Very rarely some books got lost from amazon, or a dvd came faulty from play.com and they either refunded me or issued a new dvd/book.
This kind of customer service is unheard of in italy :nope:, the italian motto is screw your customers, the more the better.

Well, still no laptops. A little complaining on the phone got me WXGA screens as a free upgrade and expedited delivery, so all is not bad though.
