Grayed out "eye" icon

On the pop-out menu for the different stations on the boat, the bottom icon looks to me like an eye. This icon is grayed-out on my copy of SH3. Does anyone know (or have a good hunch about) the intended purpose of this icon?

it is for free-cam so if you have "no external camera" option selected then it would probably be greyed out

Mystery solved. I have used the "no external camera" option since day one.
