SMoking Submarine scares Sydneysiders...
|
OMG polluters! :o Get Algore on the phone! ;)
|
I like the bit in the story about the "Ageing" sub :o , must be abit of a suprise for the RAN to hear that collins class sub's are ageing seeing most of them are less than 10years old.
|
So much for stealth! Looks like they're are fueled with whale oil!
|
Well, at least it's afloat!
Where's Stewy! I sense some Collins-bashing on the way   |

I remember those one liners we threw at our Aussie friends about the Collins. :rotfl::rotfl:
'Wonder how long it would take to check them out in the archives? |
I'd have thought their concerns/shock had nothing to do with the smoke, but more to do with the fact they'd never seen one moving before

I certainly woulda been stunned to see it moving.. jaw-dropper that!
I'm a tad confused by the story, if it was moving between Garden Is and Jervis Bay, why was it off the northern beaches?? southern i can understand, but not northern? if the collins is aging now, what'll it be in 15 od years when they're due for retirement?!? |
This is just a perfect sum up of how un-proffesional and incompetant reporting on defence is in Australia, never more than whren reporting on the subs.
"ageing" my @rse. And Channel 9 breaking into regular programming to show live footage from its chopper of a "submarine on fire", somebody's head should roll. And all your collins bashing jokes dont help, they are stupid, and ad fuel to these "journalists" cr@p stories. Go smoke some pole. Quote:
