Chaging the resolution, without using the menu
Before everyone laughs at me for such a silly question, remember that I cannot access the ingame options menu.
The problem is I've set the resolution to 19xx X 1080 and now I can't revert to my regular 1200x1024. Stupid game doesn't allow my mouse off the screen therefore I can't select the accept button to change resolutions. I know most data is stored in CFG files, but GODDAMN there's a whole lot of them. I don't even know where to START looking. Does anyone have a clue as to what file to edit in order to get the game to start at a displayable resolution? Many thanks! |
The resolution numbers are in the main.cfg file inside the SH4 folder in your documents. Try that. You might try changing res in your desktop as a last resort.

The resolution was set to that high value using another monitor I no loger have access to. My current one can't handle the 1900x1000 that the game runs at. I'll try the cfg file now.
EDIT: Nope, that's not it. It was already set at 1024x768. |
Look at your Documents\SH4\Data\cfg\main cfg file. Change your resolution there.
Your Game folder "SilentHunter\data\cfg\main" file is the game's default settings...NOT what you have set yourself. |
Ah, I see.
Many thanks! |
