Att: bdU... Germany has Won!!!

U-621

I am pleased to report that it has become obvious that Germany has won the war!

We have been at sea for 19 days now - patrolling some of the most saturated hunting grounds in the world from Der Kanal to Gibralter - and we have yet to encounter even one solitary ship! They must all be on the bottom collecting rust.

Request permission to resupply at Corrientes and reassignment to a lenghty layover at one of our newly occupied ports in Florida, USA!

If unable to accomodate this request then PROVIDE SOME VERDAMMT CONTACT REPORTS!

Sounds like that old commercial :hmm:

Admiral Donitz! You've just brought Britain to her knees and won the Battle of the Atlantic! Where are you going next?

Donitz: I'm going to Disneyland!

...or Disneyworld in this case.

Those are great news, we wish we could have gotten them before Herr Fhurer had shot himself.
Carry on.

well im with goldenrivet on this one

i do like the realism of boredom at sea kicking in and all that....but ive been driven to near madness with well over 19 days with no contact!!!!
started thinking i had 30 odd bernards on board all taking their turns on watch with their bonoculars the wrong way round:doh:

Many real-life patrols would often see very little or even nothing in the way of shipping, due to the fact that Enigma had been broken and the Allies would re-route shipping well away from known U-boat locations.;)

Sometimes, going out and seeing nothing but water is realistic in itself.:arrgh!:

very true kaptain

remember reading about 1 u-boat that returned from patrol and only having a "coup de grace" to its credit!!!

i do love the sim...just very rarely going 3 weeks gametime with no other life around does get under your skin....going to bed and all you can hear is the diesels humming i your head!!!!:rotfl: :rotfl:

There were approximately 20 Kaleuns that were assigned to 'other duties' on returning from a barren patrol. Often it wasn't their first. http://www.psionguild.org/forums/ima...ies/pirate.gif
