Not too shabby for an SH4 noob.

I have only completed in the whole time I've had it, 2 patrols in SH4

my most recent not long back came to a close... so with 25,000 tons sunk here was my reward for it.

Oh heck!

Well... I thought I'd give SH4 a quick whirl while I was waiting for the 2.1 alphas to be distributed.

Still a bit challenging to play mind for me anyway being os used to SH3... the thing I hate most is when you reload the save game... the sub automatically goes to all stop... WTF?? lol

Tell me about it! I remember once loading a saved game, cranking up the TC to x64 and started to read book... 30minutes later I check on it and I realise the boat havent moved at all. :damn:

Been some discussion on that. It does seem a bit odd but for me, it gives me time for my pea brain to remember what I was up too on my last save. Plus, I move the dialog box down to the interface and lock it while I get my mind straight as to what was going on before I saved. Other than that, I find no other reason really to have this function.

Expanding her horizons............also looking for targets on it:D

And

It also resets all the TDC settings and if you made coffee in the galley just before you saved you have to do it all over again.:damn:

But it does remember the game you saved. That's what made me quit playing SH3 back in May. I remember the responses to my WTF (Why That's Funny) post over there: Stupid! Don't you know you can't save within x kilometers of land? Don't you know you can't save if there are any ships on any sensors at all? Don't you know you can't save unless you're surfaced (or not surfaced, I don't remember which)? The list went on and on.... And I thought there must be a better way.

Then SH4 came out and I could for the first time think about playing a career without losing weeks or months of progress. I will, but I haven't looked back. Now I can save games in any situation and the only thing that happens when I come back is "All stop!". It's such a relief!

Actually there must have been a solution to the SH3 losing your career problem or nobody would play the game today. So I trust that when I get ready to do it again the problem is solved. But first, I have an American career to finish!:arrgh!:

Hey AVG! SUBSIM question. We can't have different siggies in SH3 and SH4 forums, can we? Good! I can get REVENGE for all the GWX siggies over here.:rotfl:

You can create any sig you desire as long as it is not political in nature and or offensive to others in the community. In fact, if you use TM or RFB, create one showing this and make a crew with the other players. The GWX crew is just that, a crew who play MP and talk via Teamspeak, etc. Basically a friendship across the wires of the internet.

It's not a gang, it's a club!:D

Is that similar to SH3??? I know I keep the WO as back up and .... I can't give up external views.

DrBeast 01-20-08 11:08 AM

Nice going, Penelope_Grey! Want some of my medals? I've got a bucketful of those! :rotfl:One of the reasons my next career will be with manual targeting. Auto targeting is TOO EASY!! :nope:
