Presets for snorkel/scope depth as well as speeds?
 

What I am looking for is the config. file where I can manually set the exact speeds I want when I order snorkel & periscope depth as well as 1/3 ahead, standard ahead, etc. I find that the default "snorkel" depth is too deep, even in completely flat seas, as is scope depth (tho not as badly). Likewise I have found that 4.5 knots is the optimal submerged battery speed (for the XXI) and I would like to have that be the speed on 1/3rd ahead. TIA.

Look in data/submarine and you find folders for all uboats. There is a .cfg file in each where you can modify everything you were looking for. Speeds might take some trial and error since you set a percentage of max engine power (or if its rpm) and not speed directly. Changes will affect both electical and diesel propulsion. So it might be a good idea to keep your preferred diesel setting (or move that value somewhere else) while editing this. I removed 0.94 at ahead full as it was too close to 1.0 to be of any use.
