Uuhh Oohh ! Flying Subs Are Here !!

Hi Guys , I am running a clean install of SH4 1.4 + TM175 + RSRDCv221 + Row Seafoam and I'm getting the flying sub thing in rough weather !!
Can this be fixed ??

To be honest I have not seen that since the early days of SH4, what order do you have your mods in.

install order was ... clean install SH4 , 1.4patch , TM175 , RSRDCv221 , row seafoam , water edge fix , gato hires skin .

Try this: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=128210

You should be in port to make this change, also you will need to de-activate Trigger.
Change the .sim file  in Trigger, data\cfg\sim < ------ file to change in there.

Thanks , Reallyded , I'll try it asap .

I reckon it might be a TM 175 issue , I wish Ducimus could help !

I think it may be related to stock, not sure if Duc did anything to those files. Of note, this is my install and seems to be working fine ( I did the above edit, as well as a few other things to ROW, see below ):

ROW Sub Reflections and Roll Pitch Mod vs_5

One imporant note though, for ROW Sub Reflections and Roll Pitch Mod vs_5, I delted all files that were not .Dat from the folders, as the other stuff will overwrite imp. parts of Trigger.

Again, if you are going to do the same, be in port and de-activate that particular mod.

I have no flying sub with the above config.

ROW and RFB both lower the boat in the water and lessen/eliminate the effect. Dave and I were unknowingly working on this in parallel and he beat me to it. So I got his permission to include the changes in the RFB sub files.

Easiest way to rectify this would be to download the ROW Sub Reflections and Roll Pitch Mod vs_5 as this will not cause any significant framerate hits. Dave also modified the wake to work properly with the new hieight the sub was sitting in the water.

Yep that is the USS Flying Fish Mod :D

Thanks Guys ,
I've got a lot to try , although Ducimus doesnt recommend using the full ROW sub reflections and roll n pitch file mod , only the dat files as RDP mentioned .
I never noticed this with my previous install with TM172 though .

thanks again

If you plan to use ROW, just do what I told you and you should be fine. As well that first link is a nice effect as well.

Hi Guys ,

I made the suggested changes to the sim.cfg file and also added the dat files from the ROW sub reflections file , and so far so good , no more flying subs !

Thanks again for your collective help.

Toastman out .
