balao in custom missons
 

hello can someone help me im trying to get the balao to appear in the mission that i have made in the mission selection screen but it does not appear only gato i made the unit version and the entry date version the same and still no balao class boat can someone help me with this thanks

Its not the date of the mission that matters, but the CFG date, of the player unit placed as a starting point.

You can create a map in 1942, and set the player CFG date to 19430601 for example, and all boats or configurations of boats that correspond to that 01 june 43 will be avilable even though the mission date is in 1942

The pisser is, even if you create a late war mission, the mission editor still defaults the player cfg date to some silly 1941 date. So you have to manually edit it via notepad or wordpad.

ok when i go to edit the date for the sub and its says save changes it says denied access what do i do next to solve this problem

Make sure you close the editor. Windows will do that if another app has the file open.
