Savegame corrupted?
 

Hi,

seems my last save has gone south.

When I`m loading it, it loads until the screen goes black and "noch nicht so lange her..." appears. A few seconds later, the game crashes and XP asks, if the error should be reported. The earlier save loads fine, same with a single mission, so it doesn`t seem to be a general problem.

Any chance to bring that save back to life as I sunk a ore-freighter and a Southampton cruiser in that save..... :damn:

Yeah,

I already wanted to post it, but it seems I can`t mark and copy from the appearing screen, as nothing shows up with a right-click.

It`s not very helpful,as no dll or something is mentioned, but here it goes:

I checked the windows errorlog too, there only sh3.exe is mentioned also.

edit: btw. this is stock GWX 2.0 with 16km and advanced damgage enabled

Start through SH3commander ?

If not try disabling the enhanced damage mod and try restarting

I always start via SH3 commander, even rolling back everytime closing the game.

edit: just checked, I have no medals on crew and the alternate loadscreen enabled too

ok well try loading the game without SH3commander

If no good

Unistall the enhanced damage

Then try again

May make no difference
The SH3.exe error can be anything unlike other errors

So,

tested it, disabled all options, loading with and without SH3 Commander results in an crash.

Seems the save is toast for whatever reason, I even think there wasn`t any ships nearby when I saved, as I still was on my way to the assigned patrol grid (BE 31), so I let the convoy go after the first attack. Was on the surface too.

Try deleting the main.cfg in My Documents\SH3\data\cfg and run

this didn`t help either. So I try going on with my older savegame.

THX for your help! I`ve saved my SH3 folder in case anyone comes with another idea.

I had this happen to me, and bascially, I just had to start again. I save fast and often and back up my "My Documents" folder poretty often as well. ;)

The save game feature is by far the worst thing in this game...out of all of it.:down:
