Agreed, i came to a similar conclusion last week.

I say similar tho, because i doubt the Iranians would've actually expected the boats to be attacked.

My thoughts are that if there was aenough of an incident, bush won't have come. he has anyway. They lose.

Only they dont lose, cos there are so many people through the world believing Iran, saying we did nothing wrong blah blah....

Israel always cries to someone powerful to attack the Iranians. They've been going at it for years, yet they boast such a "powerful" army. If that's the case, do it yourselves.

At most, the US would commit anti-air defenses.

Since the overthrowing of Saddam, Israel is their closest ally. Still, I must agree that Bush probably wouldn't do more than donate a few things to them and say, "Good luck."
