Periscope Question

Howdy,

The periscope at night i'm having problems seeing the marks. I can't line up the scope with the waterline of the ship i'm attacking because the line marks are to dark.

Is there a mod or settings I can change to make the lines a different colour?:hmm:

Thanks

GW

FYI you don't need to line up the water line with the horizontal center of the scope, to take standimeter readings.

I think there is a mod out there somewhere, but don't know the name or creator. Maybe someone else does?

You can change the gamma setting anytime during the game to brighten things up a little bit.

Hope this helps atleast a little bit :D

There's a Green Scope Mod here. I use it works fine! Can't remember the link for it, though.

You can try this:

You can pay me later....lol.

One nice thing about having a green crew is that if it's too dark for them to see the target, you won't know it's there.

Seriously, the green lines do a make a big difference.

Actually that may have been one of the reasons surface attacks were preferred at night. Of course the periscopes didn't let in enough light, but maybe the marks were part of the problem?

Don't know, just guessing.:sunny:

If I remember right, the scopes had a built in illumination you could turn on for the markings.

Not dupicatible as of yet in SH4 I've read here on subsim, so you use the green lines for day and night.
