GWX2 CTDs/Installation problem?

I just attacked a convoy, and after sinking a few ships my game is starting to crash alot... reloading works a little, then crashes again.. now its at the point where I cant finihs my patrol, and it crashes after a few minites of my last save... I really dont want to load a previous save and loose the 40,000 some tons of sunk merchants..

^^^
That guy seems to have the same problem as me...

im not sure if its related, but I just noticed this error in a log file in my desktop.

GWXInstErr:

DEBUG: Test 1 PASSED
DEBUG: Test 2 PASSED Version is 1.4.0.1
DEBUG: Test 3 PASSED
DEBUG: Test 4 FAILED Size is 6760734
DEBUG: Test 5 FAILED Size is 70298
DEBUG: Test 6 Seems to have PASSED IF Size is not Zero - Size is 1138405
At least one of the tests failed

I installed it on a fresh installation of SH3.. so I dunno what the problem is.. I checked all the files with the program too.. so is there anything I can do?.. I wish there was some way I could just end the patrol with the ships around, I got a couple mins before it crashes on my last save..

Download files 4 and 5 again and check with the MD5 programme.

First question, XP or Vista?

Second:
Are you 100% sure that your copy of SH3 is clean & patched to 1.4b (only, no previous versions of GW or GWX)? Before adding GWX 2.0 (only).

In a nutshell, the installer report is saying that certain files that it checks within the clean install of SH3 are not the correct size (aka moddied or un-patched).

No Jim, it's not the files, it's the installer checks.;)

Ok I reinstalled it and no Error log file.. a Good start.

I load my last saved game and it crashes imediatly.. I loaded one just before I attacked the Convoy and redid that part without saving or loading untill I was outta ammo.

it crashed once when I accidently moved the mouse too far and clicked on my second monitor, minimizing the game and freezing my computer.. but so far none of the usual Crashes.. I can only hope its fixed....

Well ill post if I have any more problems, but its time for another patrol :arrgh!:

If you have problems with previously saved careers from before GWX, you need to delete them. As we've also mentioned, they are not often compatible.
