Mass Effect

If you are a fan of Bioware's past games, such as KotOR and Jade Empire, this is a winner.

The dialogue strings are great, although perhaps not as long as in their pure RPG's.

There is also a vehicle portion of the game, which ends up being a little like a tank battle.

My first time finishing the game, I did 100% and it took me about 70 hours.

I heard a lot of old school rpgers like this - so I am looking forward to this too.

However, when it will come to the PC, no one knows .. And I took a vow to never buy a console.

Yep - I'm not buying a 360 just to play Biowares games. I hate consoles. The only one I'd consider buying is a Wii simply because it looks fun. As for everything else, I've got a PC for that, and I keep dumping thousands of $$$ into it to keep it vurrent.

PS. I might pick up Jade Empire for the PC if it is as good as you say.

I have nothing against consoles but it sucks how everything has become consolified. I even stopped reading game reviews entirely, all my recommendations I get from forums.

I see how my friends have changed. In the 90s they used to come to my place so we could play Panzer General, Aces of the Deep, etc. Now they have Playstations and Wii's and use them to play ****ty games on plasma TVs. Well, they also have wifes and kids, which I have not :)

Thats why I am saying what little influence I have I will not use to help the consoles. I do this for instance with my nephews, trying to make them feel uncool if they think about owning a console.
