Knight's Cross with GOLDEN oak leaves swords and diamonds.
Is it possible to get that medal on SHIII? And if so, did anyone of you get it? And when/How?
I understand that medal was created having in mind a victory of the axis forces on WWII, and that it was finally only awarded once, to a Luftwaffe pilot. P.s.: Bad thing about forums is that some people tend to post irrelevant stupid threads:oops: |
The highest award was the Grand Cross to the Iron Cross, awarded only once to Hermann Goring, The cross you asked about was the Knights Cross to the Iron Cross with gold oak leaves, swords, and diamonds, awarded only once to Luftwaffe Stuka pilot Hans- Ulrich Rudel. The highest scoring Luftwaffe ace was Erich Hartmann, who recieved the Knights Cross to the Iron Cross silver Oak Leaves, swords, and diamonds.

I got the medal day before yesterday:smug:
I think that answers my questions! I don't think a lousy 26K tons patrol would deserve such an honor, but there you go... |

Aw that's alright. We were thinking about slicing your belly open and exposing your intestines, but I think we'll be good to you and simply let you float in the ocean in a raft. Isn't that what friends are for?
