anti ASDIC coating on the IX

got this as an upgrade not too long ago and i was wondering just how effective it is and if i wasted the renown:-?

even if it only makes you 1% less detectable, it was worth the renown. I think it's a bit more than that, but don't get overconfident, you still have a bloody big boat, and the allies are getting better all the time, I wouldn't rely on anti-sonar coating alone to get you out of trouble, just think of it as a slight edge when going deep and silent

I believe the anti sonar coating will reduce your detectability by 10%. I've had it in GWX 1,03. I think it helped.

Its 10% yes for the first Alberich. For the second, its 20% I think.... having said that in a type IX... particularly the IXD2's... when the escorts get good you're gonna need that Alberich, a minimised profile, and a great big dollop of luck!

The better sonar coat its aim a torpedo at the ship with the sonar :know:

For what it costs (and the correct figure is 10%)....it is well worth the expenditure http://www.psionguild.org/forums/ima...s/thumbsup.gif

prolly why i managed to evade 3 DDs that almost had me pinned. got a damaged scope outta it so i had to use the external cam and there they were, circling astern of me. 2 eventually left andd the 3rd hung around for a bit. atleast this stuff is gonna be of some use:ping:
