Lost my Flair
 

For some reason, I do not see any longer the "ROW camera with sun-Flair effects"....It worked a while ago, but since I've dis-enabled and re-enabled a lot of mods for various unrelated reasons, I noticed in the last few missions that I don't ever see the camera lens flair. Anybody have any ideas?

Anyone have any experience like this? Not seeing the Flair?

Could it be Graphics Card setup? I have 8800GTX and am running all SH4 graphics options at Max. Also, I am running the card (thru nHancer) with AA supersampling at 16X and AF at 16X.

You might have another mod that's overwritten the flare effect. Post a list of yor mods in the order they're installed (uses the JSGME export feature).

Nvidia cards work pretty much flawlessly with SH4 and ROW, so I doubt that's the issue.

I've enable the "ROW camera with sun-Flair effects" as teh last Mod in JSGME. There is nothing following it to change anything in the MOD. It seems I sometimes get Flair from a high noon sun, but I never see it anymore in setting or rising suns. I miss the look as I do a fair amount of Screencapturing. Anyone else have an idea?

I'm using GTX 8800 with 169.25 driver. I wish Dave were still here to help...

I believe that's your problem - based on my previous experimenting with my 8800GTS, if I set AA at anything greater than 4X, I lose the flare/halo effect. You might want to try dropping your AA back down to 4X and see if you don't get it back.

Yes, that was the problem...I had just a few moments ago discovered this thread http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...d=1#post745469 where the nHancer settings were discussed and they also suggested dropping AA to 4X max. I did so and I got back my Flair.

Also for anyone else having similar problems. I have found that if you have antialiasing gamma correction turned on you won't get the Halo and lense flair effect.

Using Nvidea 8600GT gfx card.
