HE-111 Level Bombing, how you do it?
What's your method when bombing with the HE111?
I myself have used the 'Use the automatic bombsight by guessing' method for a long time, with decent results (usually scoring a close to direct hit). That was, until today I tried another method. Still using the automatic sight, but instead of trying to guess the TAS, I keep adjusting it until the very last second of the bombrun, trying to get the sight to stay still. Seems to work well, out of 5 tries from 2000m against a carrier using 2 SC2000 bombs, I scored direct hit to what I aimed for on all tries. And out of 5 tries from 1500m against a destroyer, I scored 4 direct hits and the 5th try was off the target by ~3-4m to right. |
I take it you are talking about the HE-111 in IL-2?

Oh I might aswell say this....I'm going to the U.S tomorrow afternoon so that'll be the reason to my absence from SubSim for about 10 days or so...in case anyone is interested.... |
Dowly that's how I figured out to use the sight.
Level up on target, hit auto-level flight pilot thing, then angle to target and keep adjusting TAS. One thing, what does manual entail? Is that just not hitting the input data into the bombing computer and hitting bomb release yourself? |

I picked other
1. Dont really fly the HE111 a lot, I'm more of a JU88 pilot and Dive bomb with it 2. if I'm flying any level bomber I just make my finger wet, put it in the air, guess the speed, angle drop the load...and well....0.0000001% chance of succes :p 3. the only thing I,m good in a bomber is keeping it in the air, and fight of enemy fighters with the guns  HunterICX |
Im with Kratos and wait for the signal and Hunter #2 is funny:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: and i tryed it and you have to have Gods finger to make it work
