Skin Request

I have a skin for the IXB U-Boat. Its nice but one thing is wrong. The skin is suposed to represent U-124, but its missing the Boats emblim.

Here are screenes of the skin.

Can someone make both versions of U-124 of her under Schulz's command and Mohr?

It's been included in GWX for ages, mate. ;)

Those emblems are included with GWX 2 Wilhelm.

Tarjak will be releaseing a emblem pack that should have the side
emblem.

The foreward center is another matter.
One would need to add an object to the Turms dat file and do some hex work
so you could place a tga in the Textures/TNormal/tex folder
to override a tga placed in the dat.

Simple really.

You guys are over simplyfing the request. Its not that the emblims are not in the game its that the sigs are in the wrong place and only one sig can be chosen at a time. I just want the skin re-worked to imcorprate the emblims.

Here is the origonal skin by wolfehunter.

If the objects that control the side emblems are dropped down and back abit
while adding the foreward object?
All objectives would be met, correct?

Well yes. :hmm: But the skin would be easyer.

Madox58 12-30-07 07:45 PM

Not really.
You would need to Re-Uv map the Turm or one emblem would show backwards,
and then there is a major problem Uv mapping the front of the Turm.
Much simplier to shuffle things in the dat.

WilhelmSchulz. 12-30-07 07:52 PM

Well Even with the emblims now one side is backward.

Madox58 12-30-07 07:58 PM

Which Turm are you useing?
I'll look at it.

WilhelmSchulz. 12-30-07 08:12 PM

Turm 1 type IX but it occures with all of types of towers.

Also the side emlim might have to be enlarged a bit.

Madox58 12-30-07 08:28 PM

I've already done the side parts on the Turm.
;)
I'll insert the needed stuff for the front emblem over the next couple days
then YOU can test it. OK?

Privateer is right. I was going to try to add the emblem onto the conning tower but the way the UV mapping is poor. It won't look good over all. SH3 has limitations. We can't have it all. Some sacrifices are accepted in this game. Untill a magician pulls magic out of his hers hat.:yep:

Madox58 12-31-07 08:00 PM

Don't worry.
The 3rd spot has been added.
It's really quite simple to do once you learn how the dats work.
This kind of thing has been requested many times.
No one wanted to do it, so I will.
Kinda like some other stuff I started BKH.
