White particles on the horison

anybody have a fix for this or any info?

Without AA all is ok, but when I use more than 2X AA I get flashing white particles on horizon (graphics in general look terrible without AA so I would like to use it). I have experimented with all settings in nvidia control panel individually one by one and different drivers to see what would fix but nothing improves it. I have Gforce 8800 GTS. What to do?

Possible solution

This seems to be a problem with Nvidia cards. Every time SH3 loads, sun glare is disabled when using AA. I found that by hitting shift-Page up one or more times I can enable sun glare AND get rid of the specks on the horizon. You must do this every time you start a game or load a save.

Thanks I didn't know that:hmm:

Update:

I tried it and this is what happens. The first time you press SHIFT+PageUP it turns off your Anisotropic filtering and Antialiasing settings. If you keep clicking on it your screen image gets more blurry. You can reverse it to a point. SHIFT+PageDOWN can restore your image clearer but your AA forced is still off. You can see the checker corners. Thats why the sun looses its uber glare.

Don't use this keyset unless you really hate the bloated sun. but Killersun mod works fine.

Great:up: . Now I'm able to get rid of the white flashing particles during night.

I hope it will help everyone afflicted by this problem.

That's for SH4 unfortunately, not SH3. :shifty:

I think that fix the black-alien-flickering stuff but not the flashing white particles on horizon, or?
