"Ship spotted" vs time compression......hmmm
Hello :-)
I play SH4 few hours only (SH3 still the best :-) but one thing is very strange IMHO, When I set time compression to higher level and my crew see ship ("Ship spotted") time compression is still on the same higher level, should be set automatically to 1 (mayby 32 at least) or not ??? I have one big mod - Trigger Maru with 1.7.3 patch, and sounds from ROW mod, that's all. Of course SH4 patched to 1.4 Best Regards and Marry Christmas and Happy New Year :D Sorry, my english is still far, far away from perfect :-) Stary Wuj |
Stary WujIf... go to Data/Cfg/Main in the SH4 file...you'll see this....
[TIME COMPRESSION] TimeStop=0 RealTime=1 LandProximity=4 CriticalDamage=1 CrewEfficiency=128;1 AirEnemyDetected=1 SoundEffects=2 CharacterAnim=4 EnemyDetected=8 RadioReport=8 Particles=8 PrayState=8 HunterState=32 3DRender=32 Maximum=8192 Change the highlighted value to 1 or whatever you wish...save the file. When you detect an enemy ship...you should drop out of time compression. |

2nd: Sometimes time compression doesn't drop when a ship is sighted IF the ship is friendly. I've also had time compression stay high for a fishing boat or small vessel that I'd never use a torpedo to sink. Otherwise, my time compression always drops when I sight an enemy. 3rd: Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you as well!!! |
The game doesnt stop for friendly ships. Aside from any main.cfg editing, another noticeable aspect is that SH4 does not drop from 32X to X8 TC when you are detected like SH3 did. So using your "Spidey sense" doesnt work as well in Sh4.
