I just have to say... I absolutely LOVE the new sinking FX in GWX 2.0 !!!

Those ships go off like fireworks now when they're sinking !!! I have to fight myself to turn off the external cameral to watch and go back to my sub ! It's like the Fourth of July !!! It really makes me feel like I'm hitting ships loaded to the gills with ammunition !!! Then the huge bonfires... I LOVE IT !!!!

My crew wanted me to pull in closer to our last kill to toast marshmallows but I told them that we had to get our mission zone and time was wasting. I'm a mean Uboat captain.:stare:

The effects are awsome until you get to close to a ship and your boat also gets damadged just happen to me on my 7th patrol.

I too am loving the new explosions in 2.0. Just sunk a Granville merchant, and as she went down - BOOM!
Can't wait till I sink a large tanker, and watch the fireworks from one of those:arrgh!:

I hit a simple large freighter last night. We surfaced and sat there to watch the fireworks as she went down. About 5 minutes later after she started taking on water, rockets started shooting up and bursting in the air. The only thing missing from the scene was a marching band playing. Then for the grand finale, there was this HUGE BOOM !!! There was a huge fireball ! This sent up a MASSIVE mushroom cloud of fire and smoke. This explostion had blasted the ship into two pieces !!!!! :rock:
I guess New York City will have to wait for the next shipment of fireworks for their next Fouth of July celebration.
