one download for GWX ?
will there be a one download option for gwx2. the way i did the first gwx from gameshadow. i have to admit i get confused with .bin files and so the one download option would be good for me.
cheers |
I downloaded GWX the first week under the donation period. What I did was download the files one at a time. If you do so in an orderly fashion, it needn't be complicated at all. I suggest you download the .exe file first, as it is the smallest. Then, download the bin files in this order:1, 2, 3, etc until you have them all. From that point all you have to do is click the .exe and it will do all the work for you. Simply create a folder where you will store the downloaded files. As you click to download each file, direct the download to that folder.

Have you ever reached for the phone to make a call... and the person you were going to contact... ringed you up?
GameShadow's CEO Tony Treadwell, contacted me earlier in the week, on the same evening that I was about to message him. (That was almost spooky!) Quite a nice guy there... and the relationship is beneficial to all involved. Yes, there will be a single-file GWX download available at GameShadow soon. I'm not sure exactly when. |
thanks all,
might - just might have another go at the .bin files. i seriously cocked it up last time, to such a point that some one here suggested formating my hard drive with the problems that were coming up: at that point i turned it all off and went to the pub, then bed. at present i seem to have a clean install of sh3 patched to 1.4. i've had no error messages - they always make my heart sink !, and would really like to get gwx2 up and running. it's just that i'm cautious - nervous about cocking it all up again, if you get my drift... i think the one download-install would be good for the likes of me ! cheers  |
Before you add GWX 2
Make a copy of your shiney new install That way you have a ready made back up |
bbw, sorry, dont know how to do backups - never made one.
do i copy clean install onto a disk - something like that. if it is what are the steps to achieve this ? thanks |
Create a folder and call it, for example 'backup', then copy and paste your installation into it

ahh !
that easy eh? :hmm: go to prog. files and copy sh3 folder from there - n' paste it into new folder ? just doing this now, says it takes about 7mins |
Make sure it is only the original installation WITHOUT ANYTHING ADDED other than the 1.4b patch :yep:

ok.
i have put in the folder sh3 patched . i did not put the ubi folder in, just the sh3 inside the ubi folder - yeah ? |
That is correct

I can't find anything but GWX (original) at Game Shadow. Help anyone.
Also, I can't seem to get to any downloads at Game Shadow. To access the downloads, do you need to first download the Game Shadow software ?? Thanks. |
